General Settings

The General Settings page allows you to manage core project information and preferences.

Overview

Access General Settings by opening your project and clicking on the Settings icon, then selecting "General" from the Project section.

Project Information

Project Name

View your current project name along with the owner's email address.

Owner

The email address of the user who created the project.

Created At

The date and time when the project was created.

Usage Statistics

• Messages Count: Total number of messages exchanged in your project

• AI Edits Count: Total number of AI-powered edits made to your project

Project Visibility (Pro Feature)

Control who can see and clone your project.

• Public: Anyone can view and clone your project

• Private: Only you and invited collaborators can access the project

Note: This is a Pro feature. Upgrade your plan to make your project private and prevent others from cloning it.

Hide "Stage5" Label (Pro Feature)

Remove the "Powered by Stage5" branding from your published work.

Note: This is a Pro feature. Upgrade your plan to remove the Stage5 label from your published projects.

Rename Project

Update your project's title.

1. Click the Rename button

2. Enter the new project name

3. Click Save or press Enter to confirm

4. Press Escape or click Cancel to abort

The new name will be immediately reflected across your project.

Disable Analytics

Toggle this switch to stop collecting analytics data for this project.

When enabled, no usage data or metrics will be collected for this project.

Delete Project

Permanently remove your project and all associated data.

To Delete a Project:

1. Click the Delete button

2. A confirmation dialog will appear with a warning

3. Read the warning carefully - this action cannot be undone

4. Click Delete Project to confirm, or Cancel to abort

Warning: Deleting a project will permanently remove:

• All project files and code

• All messages and conversation history

• All AI edits and changes

• All users and their permissions

• All secrets and configurations

• All settings and preferences

This action cannot be undone. Consider backing up important data before deleting.

Best Practices

1. Clear Naming: Use descriptive project names that clearly identify the purpose

2. Review Before Delete: Always double-check before deleting a project

3. Analytics: Keep analytics enabled to track usage and identify issues

4. Visibility: Keep projects public unless they contain sensitive information - this will allow our community to grow and expand
